Charenton Heritage Museum has exhibits including local, papal and economic history, the history of the Bayou Teche and Atchafalaya Basin, plus a display of flags. Great Wall is located along the Atchafalaya River in Morgan City and Berwick. This “Great Wall” stands 21 feet tall and overlooks the mighty Atchafalaya River. Swamp Gardens and Wildlife Zoo is situated on 3.5 acres of natural swampland, this heritage park displays and interprets the Cajun culture, from the early beginnings with the Chitimacha Indians to the present.
